Anderson has extensive experience affecting policy in all levels of government having counseled trade associations, small businesses, fortune 500 companies, public agencies and universities and non-profits on a wide array of issues.  Anderson provides clients with special expertise in matters related to federal funding of research, infrastructure, and international trade.

 

Anderson previously served as advisor to a senior Member of the Appropriations Committee and Subcommittee Chairman.  In this capacity, he directly managed the annual allocations for multiple appropriations bills providing funding to improve public infrastructure, education, healthcare and homeland security.  Additionally, Anderson served as the Congressman’s liaison to communities along the U.S.-Mexico boarder and monitored activities with the Export Import Bank of the United States, the Inter-American Development Bank and other financing institutions.

 

Anderson also retains extensive contacts within the domestic financial services communities, having begun his government career on the staff to the Senate Banking Committee.  There he assisted the Chief Counsel with oversight of the Security and Exchange Commission and provided legislative analysis of financial regulatory reform efforts following the “dot com” collapse, including Sarbanes-Oxley.

Anderson played an active role in the establishment of the Congressional Hispanic Conference and the Congressional Hispanic Leadership Institute.
