Marsh provides an array of government relations expertise at the state level to clients of Troutman Sanders Strategies. Primarily, his efforts are concentrated on advocating his clients’ initiatives before the state legislature and executive branch. Marsh is proficient in banking, automobile manufacturing, life insurance, transportation, state budgetary matters, as well as media and recording industry-related issues. Marsh serves as an advisor on matters related to state procurement contracts and lobbies city and county governments on local issues that impact his clients.
Marsh previously served as Assistant General Counsel to the Majority Caucus of the Georgia House of Representatives. In that capacity, he researched and drafted legislation while also providing legal advice on various legislative and ethics issues. Representing members of House Leadership, Marsh gained practical knowledge of the state legislative process by testifying on behalf of and managing key legislation in both bodies of the General Assembly. Until that time, he served as an Assistant District Attorney in the Chattahoochee Judicial Circuit where he focused on felony trial work.
